Culture Experience
The charming scenery and weather make Guilin a perfect place to learn Chinese culture, like learning Taichi and cooking. Professional teachers are provided and the guide will translate for the visitors.
Cooking class is arranged in Yangshuo and the tour starts from Guilin City. There are several places in the county offering cooking classes. We carefully selected the Cloud 9 Cooking School on West Street as it is more convenient for visitors after disembarking from the cruise. Visitors will first go to the local market and buy the materials for the dishes, which is also a cool way to see local life. Usually the teachers will list some dish names and ask customers to vote and decide 3 dishes to cook.
Taichi Learning is also arranged in Yangshuo County and the tour starts from your hotel in Yangshuo. The guide will pick you up to escort you to the Taichi School. The Taichi master will give a short show and a brief introduction about Taichi. Then the master will teach the students the initial progress of Taichi. The whole process takes about 2 hours. Other activities are included in this day trip.
