A cruise along the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo is the highlight of a Guilin tour. While everybody else takes the normal large cruise boat, we believe making the trip in your own speed boat offers a unique experience. The cruise takes 4 hours from downtown Guilin to Yangshuo and includes photo stops during the trip. There's something interesting to see at almost every bend, besides the stunning scenery on the river. Between spectacular limestone peaks you'll see graceful bamboo groves, or sometimes can see the cormorant and water buffalo if you are lucky. In winter the cruise takes longer because the water level is lower. Boats depart from various wharves, according to the height of the river at different times of the year.You may even have to stop at Xinping because the water level will not allow the boat to reach Yangshuo. If this happens, we'll arrange vehicle to take you to Yangshuo. Tips: 1.The speedboat permits to stop in a wide portion of Li River for photography. 2.For the security reason, the speedboat tour is not available in the flood season.

Guilin
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at your Yangshuo hotel at appointment time, today is active day by cycling to the countryside, rent a bike in West Street and takes 10 minutes ride to escape the hustle and bustle city and come into the rural area, the water buffalo, the rolling peaks and crystal clear water compose like a master piece of landscape painting. Stop at one of the local family and visit Chinese farmer’s house and even can acknowledge about their life. It offer a once in a lifetime opportunity to get up close and personal with the special scenery and customs there. Lunch will have in the local restaurant. Then transfer to the airport, you guide will help to check-in your flights, your memorable Guilin tour end.

A Local Yao Lady’s Family Visit
Oil tea, Chinese name it Youcha, is a feature food of Yao Minority in Guilin, and now popular among locals, it can remove the body moisture and good for prevent rheumatism in the humid mountain area, on the way up to the terrace field, our guide will take you to visit a local Yao lady’s family, she will show us how to make oil tea and treat us lunch there.

This class begins at the local market where ingredients for the dishes are chosen by students. Back at a covered, rooftop patio-classroom, you have an opportunity to learn three dishes and enjoy the fruits of your labor. You can choose other favorite dishes at the lunch.
Explore Daxu Ancient Town with Local Scholar
Daxu ancient town, which has been a glory trade market in the past decade, it owns the biggest water transportation hub in Guilin. We invited a local scholar to show you around, give a brief lecture of the interesting story behind the town, visit the last and the only Chinese traditional pharmacy in town that still using traditional way for treatment! Also you get a chance to visit one of the local families and talk to the locals.
