Laozhai Hill

Laozhai hill is located by Li River in Xingping Town, Yangshuo. There is a walking trail leads to the top, it commands a stunning view of the picturesque landscape scenery in Xingping, and as well as a bird’s eye view of each band of Li River, the photographers regarded this is a be high angle view to take photo of Li River.

How to get there

Take a bus to Xingping and walk till to the Xingping wharf in river bank, find out Rongtan Park and follow the stone step up to the hill top.

Photography Tips

If you have to carry a lot of camera equipments, you may like to hire a porter, contact the owner of Wangjianglou Guesthouse at the foot of the hill to help you. shoot in the early morning of sunrise scenery from the east part hill or front lit river mist from the west part hill in the afternoon, the sunset scenery should be capture in the west, rural scenery and the old town must be shoot from the east part of hill.
